Graduate Healthcare Ministries

InterVarsity’s Graduate Healthcare Ministries equips today’s healthcare students to follow Jesus’ example of compassionate care and healing work in the world. We long for everyone in healthcare—the people who give and receive care—to flourish and have hope.

On campus we focus on:

  • Invitation: Cultivating communities that invite people to follow Jesus
  • Formation: Encouraging individual and individual rhythms that connect us to God
  • Integration: Equipping students and faculty to integrate their faith with their work in healthcare

Discover for Yourself in Scripture

The following method is designed to help you discover the core message of a passage and experience Jesus in his Word. Whether you are new to the Bible or have read it a lot, this approach will open up the text in amazing ways.

Get Started in Reading the Bible

If you’ve read a novel, you already know how to read the Bible! But a few tips might help . . .

Why the Bible?

The living God, whose words brought the cosmos into being, is eager to relate to us. He has not left us to guess at his character and intentions like some kind of charades game or to try to interpret what he is saying through the night sky, natural disasters, or the changing of the seasons. He knows that relationships need words—so that’s what he gave us.

A Prayer for Match Day

Medical students across the US anticipate Match Day with both excitement and trepidation. On this spring day, fourth-year medical students find out where they will be starting their residency or fellowship training programs. We offer this prayer as a way to reflect and remember the ways God has been faithful in the past and the promise that he will continue to be faithful during this pivotal transition.
