The guides below were created in 2021 and are available for you to use as you wish. Most were created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and may seem outdated. However, we know that the experiences of that time didn't disappear, and many may still struggle with the themes of these retreats.
Retreat Guides
Every retreat is different, but you can always expect to spend time in scripture, reflecting on some questions, and time for rest between. We want you to take the time at your own pace, whether your retreat is 4 or 8 or 24 hours. Many also include poems, songs, prayers, and writings from faithful women and men of the past. May they be a blessing to you.
September
Our discipleship with Jesus leads us into greater intimacy with Him and others, Christlikeness in character, and into greater empowerment for mission. This guide will lead you some prayer exercises that will help you lean into these three different areas of our formation: intimacy, character, and mission. This is suitable for anyone as they begin a new school year.
November
An expanded form of examen and other imaginative disciplines using Isaiah 40. You'll have space for reflection, scripture, responding, and worshipping.
December
A guide for reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the next. There will be plenty of time for scripture, reflection, and praying for the year to come.
