How to Create a Justice Pilgrimage for your Campus

Students from all spiritual backgrounds want to understand the real stories behind their campuses. Use this guide to create a Justice Pilgrimage that will help students learn about their campus history, see how Jesus brings healing and justice to people and to places, and learn what it means to be part of an InterVarsity community.

Greg Hsu

Greg has been part of InterVarsity since his days as a Duke undergrad. As an IV staff member, he's served students in a wide variety of campus (private and public schools, large and small, South and North) and chapter contexts (undergraduate and graduate, multiethnic and ethnic-specific). He has a deep love for the myriad ways God meets and works through students! He lives in Boston, MA with his wife (herself a former IV staff!) and 3 children. He enjoys good meals with good people, taking his kids to school in their e-bike, and watching college basketball (men and women) and the WNBA!

Nicole Chiu-Lwin

Nicole is the Senior Director of Operations for InterVarsity/USA’s Diversity department. She has served as a volunteer, campus minister, and team leader at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the University of Maryland, College Park, working primarily with Asian American students. She loves the university and is always eager to witness students dream, develop curiosity, and discover a sense of belonging. Nicole currently finds herself in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She and her husband of six years pass the time by seeking the next great meal (homecooked or otherwise), go down YouTube rabbit trails, and amuse their toddler with dramatic readings of her favorite board books.

Sarah Shin

Sarah Shin is the author of Beyond Colorblind (IVP, 2017). She formerly served as the Associate National Director of Evangelism for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and is a speaker that connects ethnicity and biblically-informed faith. Sarah holds a Master of Letters in Analytic and Exegetical Theology from the University of St. Andrews, a Master of Arts in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Master in City Planning and Development from MIT. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Theological Ethics at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She loves to create good food, art, and community with her husband and wee daughter.

Sara Kwon

Sara Kwon is a 4th generation Japanese American (Yonsei) and 3rd generation Chinese (Toisan) American from Los Angeles. She currently serves as the Associate National Director of Asian American Ministries and was previously on staff in Berkeley, CA and Knoxville, TN. She holds an MA in Theology and Ministry from Fuller Seminary. In her spare time, she roots for Tottenham Hotspur, LAFC, and the Dodgers.
